Remarks on bosonic super-WIMP search experiments

چکیده
Bosonic super--weakly interacting massive particles (WIMPs), including pseudoscalar and vector particles, are dark-matter candidates. To date, many underground experiments searches for super-WIMPs have been performed in the mass range of a few $\mathrm{keV}/{c}^{2}$ to $1\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{MeV}/{c}^{2}$. All these utilize absorption process super-WIMP by target atom detector, which is similar photoelectric effect. We consider another process---namely, Compton-like process. As an example, we compare cross section germanium with that Our findings indicate becomes dominant relative above approximately $150\text{ }\mathrm{keV}/{c}^{2}$ both super-WIMPs. In particular, increasingly greater than 1 2 orders magnitude $400\text{ }\mathrm{MeV}/{c}^{2}$ range, respectively. By process, has not used any other search experiments, experimental upper limits can be improved.

Remarks on the quantum de Finetti theorem for bosonic systems
The quantum de Finetti theorem asserts that the k-body density matrices of a N-body bosonic state approach a convex combination of Hartree states (pure tensor powers) when N is large and k fixed. In this note we review a construction due to Christandl, Mitchison, König and Renner [8] valid for finite dimensional Hilbert spaces, which gives a quantitative version of the theorem. We first propose...
متن کاملInterpreting data from WIMP direct detection experiments
Weakly Interacting Massive Particle (WIMP) direct detection experiments are closing in on the region of parameter space where relic neutralinos may constitute the galactic halo dark matter. We discuss two issues in the interpretation of data, in particular the calculation of exclusion limits, from these experiments. Firstly we show that the technique that has been used for calculating exclusion...
متن کاملAn Xe Detector for WIMP Search
For the ever-challenging dark matter direct detection, we have been developing an optimized detector for more than a decade. The ZEPLIN II detector with liquid Xe as a target material is now under construction at the University of California, Los Angeles, which will be installed in the 1100-m deep U.K. Boulby salt mine in early 2002. A two-phase (liquid and gas) Xe scheme has been shown to be v...
